The AR-tistic Ad Award is our first competition for artists, designers and creatives. At SQUARS we believe in the infinite power of imagination and want to give space to creative minds all over the galaxy.

The top 3 designs will be awarded a full-paid trip to AWE Europe 2023, taking place October 24-25 in Vienna, Austria. The Augmented World Expo is the melting pot for all things XR, including innovative products and services in the realm of AR, VR, and MR, as well as enabling technologies such as AI, bio-interfaces, haptics, 5G, streaming, and more.

How do I participate?
All you need to do is create an augmented reality ad, using the STUDIO interface. The AR ad needs to include an image target and a related augmentation, and has to be a published project in the STUDIO. Once you are ready, register via the above form and we will support you through the submission process. You can submit more than one entry - the sky is the limit!
What type of ad do I have to submit?
The ad can be for a real client, a fictive one, or for your own personal brand, but you may only submit an augmented ad that you either created yourself or have obtained the rights to. The same applies to pictures, videos, 3D models, and any other asset created for the submission.
Use the theme SPACE as inspiration. This can refer to anything, from outer space or physical space to personal space, it's up to you what to make of it. The best ad will be determined based on overall originality, creativity, and storytelling skills.
Do I have to be a paid subscriber in order to participate?
Yes. To be eligible for the prizes, you need to have an active subscription plan (excluding the free version). You can sign up here: https://www.squars.io/pricing. Please make sure to use the same email address associated with your SQUARS account for the submission, as well.
Until when do I have to submit my creation?
The Promotion begins on March 15th, 2023 at 10:00 CET, and ends on May 15th, 2023 at 23.59 CET. We can only accept submissions made within this time frame.
What can I win?
If our expert jury determines your ad as one of the top 3 winners, you'll receive a fully-paid trip to AWE Europe 2023, taking place Oct 24-25 in Vienna, Austria! The trip includes a ticket to AWE Europe 2023, accommodation for 3 nights, and transportation from your country of residence to Vienna and back.
On top of that, the top 3 ad creators will receive an Apple product, such as MacBook Pro, iPhone 14, or AirPods Max. And if this wasn't enough already, we'll also be adding a yearly subscription to our Professional plan, completely for free, so you can continue working on you AR-tistic skills. Last but not least - creme de la creme - the AR-tistic Ad Award awaits!
Believe it or not, that's not all! In addition, the jury will select 7 more participants who will receive a 1-year-subscription to our Professional plan for free, so you can train your AR muscles even more.
When will the winners be announced?
All winners will be notified via email no later than June 15th, 2023.
